Founded by Carlo Ilotte in 1932. His first venture into the manufacturing industry was the development of a zipper factory to help meet the needs of the military. His success led to the expansion into the die-cast and machining industry. He and his son, Vincenzo, established 2a SPA in Santena, Italy and two subsidiaries in China and 2a USA in Auburn, Alabama.
